The MOST BUS loop is all or nothing.. if anything is working on it, then it's not the problem

 

I run the VIN and there is absolutely no optional equipment. Does it even have a steering wheel? On the serious note, shine some light down each fiberoptics strand and check if you see it on the other end.

You neede to change the cap on the MOST-Bus diagnostics connector in the glovecompartment ( left side , up under behinde a cap ) to a type with mirrow function in order to have "hole" throug on your MOST-Bus linie , you can get it at your local BMW dealership , price aprox. 15-20 USD.
