Ok my name fel twice so i need to explain more

a new 525d has a partikel filter. So if you remap your engine its has to be done i a custom way. A bit more torgue in lower rev, full upgraded torgue in mid and hig rev.

The reason for this is that the partikel filter give resistance and if the torgue is to much the pressure cant escape fast enough causing the air to heat up to much and the turbo will overheat.

Heinz tuning in belgium has a custom program for diesels with partikel filter and tested it on dozens of cars giving great results.

a standard 525diesel in belgium is limited to 163 horsepower in stead of 176 horsepower. This is to limite taxes and giving the car more popularity with leasing compagnys. It accelerates to 60 miles/hour in 8.2 seconds with manual shifter and 8.4 seconds with automatick shifter. Torgue is 4OO NM.

On a car with manual shifter the gearbox is stronger so you can put more torgue on the car. Result of tuning Heinz is a 525d that accelerates in 6.9 seconds to 60 miles a hour and 517 NM newton torgue. This makes the car faster then a 530d with automatick gears.

Hope this helps.
Cost: between 850 euro and 600 euro depending on how many cars you will bring in to remap. We will go there with 4 cars so we got great discount.

I will have a Eisenman exhaust to but this gives no extra acceleration as its only the final muffler that is replaced. You could also change the airfilter to a open type airfilter. This will give some extra hp.

If you bring the car in you can assist in the remapping proces. You can ask for less or more torgue and built your own custom program. Its all possibel. Its just a program on a computer and they move some curves around and its saved and loaded into the car. The advantage of a custom program remap tuning is that the program can not be detected by your bmw dealer. However in rare cases your program can be deleted by a serious bmw recall that that would deleted the tuning remap of heinz. But they will restore the remap for free if this is the case.

The emmergencey bmw program stays in the car. If your car goes in emmergency state you can still drive home slow like before. With most tuning boxes that are added to the engine you dont have a emmergency software program anymore.

Additional information: if you desire Heinz can even give you more torgue and horsepower. 25O HP is possibel and 56O NM is also possibel but this is on the edge of things and your manual shifter can bearely take this power. So it is possibel but Heinz recommends to swap the shifter mechanical stuff to a more powerfull shiftergear. They dont recommend this because this is realy to much and can only be done if you accept the risks.

The normal tuning like we will do is very safe. The shifter can take this with no problem. However for automatick shifters they recomend only 48O NM and 2OO HP. Because the auto shifter can take less then the manual shifter

Now I know why ats77 calls you the pro...
Either I will go with Heinz or Kempower, not sure yet. I will get my car early May, will then wait for 3-4 months or so, to have it tuned early September or so.
Anyone else interested...? Pmmeke gave me an idea when he mentioned the word 'discount'...

Re. changing the airfilter...guess this means the car gets louder and more dust particles will get through to the engine. Will not do this I think.
Need to put my ear to the engine first and would like to compare it to a car with a more open air filter.

Thanks Pmmeke for this valuable info!

as they change the boost more, do not please forget EU emission rules and standars,
so you get the the power do not ruin your engine, and have no smoke.
Heinz will let you to see and discuss each steps.
go for it man, he has AC Schnitzer too.

Thanks for having thought of me but do not count on me as for me original 535D is quite sufficient.

I think is 525d is very good. I did drive the 530d. Obviously it was better but i counldn't justify paying alot extra for it.

I agree that there is slightly hesitation at around 1200rpm. Maybe i need to drive the engine in abit more as i have only done 5000 miles. Ive also started to put BP ultimate diesel in which does make a difference to performance and smoothness of the engine.

Im also going to get it remapped by DMS Automotive who are probably one of the biggest BMW tuners in the UK. But more important then power, the remap will remove flat spots and make the engine much better.

I'have a 525d (touring) as well and love it !
Torque and horsepower is enough (it's much faster then my previous X5 3.0d -MY2002) but... in time you get used to every amount of power.

I'm conducting a test with BP ultimate diesel as well.
For now (900km's) it seems that fuel consumption dropped about 10% and accaleration is getting better.
Another good thing is that it s as well.
Also it seems that the dieselengine sounds are a lot less.
And this is a ExxonMobil guy speaking!
