Got my RMA tonight and will return tomorrow. Will be on travel so I hoope to have a RR waiting on me when I get back late next week.

m630, of course I'll be in "competition" with the 545s trying to best them as well as help in diagnostics of the issues raised here
but make sure you use the same dirty tricks as Znod ... riding in your underware on 1litre of petrol reserve theres no beating the mind-candy unless your ready to shed some weight

But, I'd have to get my car wet. Ok, I'll try it if I ever am ever caught in the rain. Thanks for thinking about the possibilities, but I'm not quite ready to try the water test. Still, it may be the only way. Hmmmm?
I don't take mine out in the rain either.A bucket of water would do.When I was at the drag strip there was no way to avoid the "water box"so I gassed it and spun the tires to dry them off. With no controls on the tires should spin wildly.

OK, maybe I'll try it. But, I still think it could spin wildly even with something interfering with the HP just partially. After all, what's 20 HP to a water puddle?

Hi All:

I have posted my results from today's runs below. The data show that I have absolutely no loss of performance from having removed my mods. And, I expect to be able to improve on the data below. Whether my car ever will get totally back to where it was only time will tell.

So all that money wasted in performance upgrades did no do anything? umm I think I'm just removing the second filter, drill some holes in the airbox (for extra volume) and add a K&N filter and will have a cheap 2 hp increase ... man now i feel sorry for all the people that paid $700 plus for an exhaust...

Hi DJ:

I am not sure that an exhaust, for example, necessarily is a waste. I am going to make a post on the "Mods" discussion and provide info on this issue.

And, did you happen to see this thread? If, and when, you are out and about, I wonder if you could try some of the things I mention and see what happens. But, don't worry about the first issue I raised; I have resolved it. If you don't have time or just plain forget, then no problem. But, I'd appreciate your input if you get around to it. And, there is no hurry. Thanks much, if and when.

That's very interesting Bokke. Good eye. I could barely make out what was circled, but it looks like a BMW person has been reading the thread. I'll see if I can make things out better on my other laptop or on our desktop which have larger screens. Thanks much. Will you be metering this weekend?

Got it: BMW NA Customer Relations. I think I only have to give my name, rank, and serial number. But, really, I'd greatly appreciate a PM; I'd be happy to call where ever/whenever.
