One question, I have same 2007 550i smg and try to replace smg relay and salmon relay but inside ecu box there is no salmon and smg relays originally placed. Can you tell me where can I find them to replace?
So the relay should be on the left hand side. I'll take a picture tomorrow. See if you can look it up on google

LOL, well, it's too late for me, but I'll subscribe, since I still have the car. I have to be honest, I hate the SMG with a passion. All of my problems since buying the car in 2013:

2013: Input shaft sensor died while merging onto the highway. Grenaded the clutch, and 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears. Needed a complete new clutch, flywheel, and transmission,

2014: Clutch sensor died while on the highway. The car was somewhat drivable, but the shop insisted that they take the trans off to check the clutch (it was fine, but I got charged labor)

2015: Hydraulic pump motor died. I found a shop that was willing to take an ebay replacement, thank god.

Car currently works, but yea, I'm a good $12-13k deep in transmission bullshit, I think I have literally replaced all of the original transmission parts, except the mounts.

I'm down to 2 more repairs to chase down: The rear diff needs new fluid (rubbing sound on low speed turns), and the downshift paddle has lost its 'clickyness'

Considering the fact that I have had my share of good/bad cars and I can point out parking lots where this car broke down or that car broke down, I am proud to say that I'm about the only person in this world that can be regularly seen neutral pushing a $100,000 car out of the road, into a parking lot.

I also hold the record for most times pulled over by the same cop, each time in a different one of my vehicles.

Thanks for the reply!
I already got the oem relays from the dealer, but when I open my ecu box under the passenger side micro filter under the hood, cannot find salmon relay and black smg relay to replace. I checked my trunk fuse box and inside glove box too but cannot find them.
Here I found ecu box photos that exactly same as my 07 550i smg.
there are only 2 relays inside ecu box which are windshield wiper relay(Tall light brown relay on the left) and ABS relay(orange color with ASC on the bottom)

DO you have any idea where BMW hide smg relay for my 07 550i?
