OK, Yesterday I had to have a root canal, my windshield cracked, and now my car is telling me I have a flat....but I don't. I pulled over checked the pressures (They were a little low 23-25psi) so I aired em up to 38psi but the flat tire symbols are still lit up!!! What's going on here?????
My wife said I should have traded it in yesterday at the dealer when they looked at the window. They didn't have any e60s at all just a few 650's and 2 M6 (1 conv. 1 coupe). Would love to have the M6 conv!!!! A sales guy said they are waiting delivery of the 535s and 528s...they rarely have any 550s. I wish my wife was serious!

With the car stationary and ignition on, go into the i-drive > Vehicle settings > RPA and reset it.

Me again, I would have your tires checked as the FTM engages when there is a change in tire pressure, had the same thing happen to me while on the highway, I pulled over and checked all 4 tires which all seemed hard, but headed over to a tire store nonetheless, by the time I got to the tire store I was missing more than half the pressure in one tire, turns out there was a nail in it, I was lucky I didn't loose the whole tire, by driving on it.
Problem with FTM in 2004 models is that it does not tell you which tire has the problem.

KAF - Thanks...that switched off the indicator light.
gabman - I'll check the pressures before I leave work today.
All seams to be correct in the Universe now!
Darn 20" wheels...hard to tell if they're going flat!

This problem solved too! Actually had a big screw in it like "gabman" suggested. Hard to tell from this picture but I must have had low pressure for a while (with no warning) because the inside side tread started to separate from the side wall!!!
I ended up buying 2 new rears and they swapped the fronts (off the rim and to the other side to stay directional vs. rotating).
They still had good tread even at 32K miles...I will take better care of this set and should easily get 40K out of them.
Fellow 20" wheel fans - check you tires once in a while...it's sooo hard to tell if their low!!

Have been thinking about these-
http://www.tyrepressuremonitors.biz/index2.htm
Anybody tried them?
Might be useful....................if they work..................for those of us without the new TPM system.

Strange. I came across these tonight too when looking up tyre inflate and repair systems.

About 10 days ago, but looking up the same thing yes.
Somebody on the forum mentioned a repair and inflate system which led me to the page.
I carry a can of tyre weld just in case I get 2 flats with only 1 spare......................ever the optomist !!, but the permanent repair system do not convince me for some reason.
