I had my wipers replaced about 4 months after I bought my car because the blades were streaking water and it was very difficult to se if it was raining at night. I bought the car brand new. But now these new wipers that I have had for less then a year are making a terrible squeaking noise after about 1 minute of continuous usage even in heavy rain. Could just replacing the blades be sufficient or is there a deeper problem? Just a note that it does not rain too frequently where I am and have not even used the wipers that much. Thanks.

Tip of the day...
Rub some white vinegar on the wiper blades. This will stop screeching and smearing!

It sounds good. A friend of mine applied some vaseline to the rubber after throughfully cleaned.

What I do is clean the windows with windex after I wash the car. I've been doing it for a year now and it works very well.
