Noisy wipers....

I had my wipers replaced about 4 months after I bought my car because the blades were streaking water and it was very difficult to se if it was raining at night. I bought the car brand new. But now these new wipers that I have had for less then a year are making a terrible squeaking noise after about 1 minute of continuous usage even in heavy rain. Could just replacing the blades be sufficient or is there a deeper problem? Just a note that it does not rain too frequently where I am and have not even used the wipers that much. Thanks.

Tip of the day...

Rub some white vinegar on the wiper blades. This will stop screeching and smearing!

Had mine replaced last week during service visit. Works great for now.

It sounds good. A friend of mine applied some vaseline to the rubber after throughfully cleaned.

Not any further noise

A dab of vaseline on the rubber usually stops the screaming...

... not sure about the vinegar though.

Mine were driving me Nuts too...! Service inclusive visit to dealer and good as new...Blades were only 6 months old at the time but the new ones did the trick!

What I do is clean the windows with windex after I wash the car. I've been doing it for a year now and it works very well.
