Hi

I have exactly the same thing on my passenger side. I was thinking of maybe trying another wiper blade (the rubber bit) manufacturer when it wears out and see if that cures it.

Worth a try.

I have had this after using a carwash or jet wash than includes some sort of wax finish. Once you get it on the screen you will get increased wiper noise. A good screen cleaner should sort it.

Out of interest did they replace the wiper blade part only or the entire wiper arm including the wiper blade?

my wipers were making those screeching noises too.
in addition, the blade suddenly curled in the centre and not making contact to the windshield, leaving unwiped areas.
my dealer replaced the entire arm assembly. it is now silent.

if yours are making noises return to the dealer for warranty replacement.

Thanks for the tips.
Nice to see I'm not the only one

Will try and get a good screen cleaner to clean the windows when I wash my car next to see if it sorts it out.

Cheers

When mine start skipping / squealing, I just spray quite a bit of washer fluid on them and they seem to smooth out.

My wipers are fine, but on previous cars, the problems were solved by one or more of the following, starting with the simple and getting more drastic!

1. Replace wiper blade insert
2. Replace complete wiper blade
3. PROPERLY clean screen with glass cleaner
4. Polish screen with T-Cut, Brasso or similar
5. Depending upon the direction of the noise, carefully bend (actually twist) the actual arm so that the blade is exactly 90 degrees to the screen (an angle greater than 90 degrees in the direction of travel may cause noise or judder)
6. Get a new car

Hope something is useful
