Yeah sure. I started by checking all the fuses for fans, checking the idrive settings and checking if I had any error codes. I've got a little OBDII error reader. I had one error code, I couldn't tell you what it was I just cleared it and it hasn't returned. I then tested the heater again it didn't work.

I found an excellent DIY tutorial on how to strip the front dashboard down to access the blower and stepper motors on a website. It actually had about 35 E60 ( all bmws actual) common fault fixes, really really helpful. I did put up the website but it was taken down.

I just followed that tutorial, stripped the dash, disconnected everything to do with the heating system made sure the blower had no obvious faults, made sure stepper motors were ok. I carefully put it back together and tested it and it worked.

You need to read that tutorial and it explains everything but you can't advertise it on here. I'll have to PM it to you.
