hmm, not sure I like that look...something about the roofline reminds me of that (big, nasty looking, IMO, Mec coupe). Be interesting to see the actual F10 for sure....

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.

Is Dinan making performance software for the twin turbo V8 soon? Only kidding...
I am happy its coming out early as I do not want a first year run again if I can help it. Lived through many issues with my 1997 and 2004. It will make my car two years old by then so I will have another year to have some bugs worked out. I also hope the SMG variant will be available. If it will have the 400 hp and 450 ft/lbs V8, I will be getting it then and FINALLY things in the universe will be in balance again with 100 hp and 150 ft/lbs separating the 6 from the 8 cylinder.

If you're assuming that the E60 will have 7 years of production (as you should) then "2010 model coming out in 2009" (the 7th year) is STILL going to be an E60 NOT the F10.......in which case I agree with you. The F10 will be a 2011 model coming out in 2010. On the other hand if you're still saying the the "2010 model coming out in 2009" (the 7th year) is going to be the F10 then you're giving the E60 only 6 years in production...which is not the norm for BMW.

Its my understanding that when the F10 debuts in 2010, it will come out EARLY...
..like around March. I spoke to one of my friends @ BMWNA yesterday & was told
that the 2009 MY E60 will also be available in March (or thereabouts). It would appear
that BMWNA prefers that particular season for the 5 Series MY changeover.

That being said, we should start seeing practically uncamouflaged pics of the F10 just
about 2 years from now;; so the wait is more like 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 years before the F10
is available, not 4.
