Hello everyone - I have what should be a very simple question: I have a nav system on my 2006 530xi. We have a 2005 nav DVD in the car and it works fine, but does not locate some of the newer streets in my area. So can I purchase a 2006, 2007, 2008, etc. nav DVD and have updated streets appear on my nav screen, or does this involve some type of software upgrade to the nav (or worse)?

Yes, the latest working version is the 2009.1, I have it installed and amazingly my office shows up now!!! There is a newer 2009.2 version but there was a thread related to issues with that disc. Try to find the 2009.1 and you will be better off. Good Luck and WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!!!
