new symptom-not going to redline in ds

My car has been making a wierd sound lately and now I have a new symptom. During full acceleration in DS my car does not consistently rev to the same amount. It always used to go to redline if floored in DS, now it often only goes to 6000 and sometimes does redline to 6500 and then anywhere in between.
On top of this the noise my car makes is a garbling sound from near the front of the car/engine that only happens on accerlation and no other time. It also once and awhile sounds like it is misfiring when reving the engine or rarely while driving followed by a super delayed acceleration. That has only happened a couple times any thoughts
