I am new to my 2006 530XI with navigation and I have a couple of questions that I was not able to find any answers to. Any help would be appreciated.

1) Is there any way to have the map show up in the large window and then have the entertainment/communication information show up in the smaller "assist window"?

2) My navigation map is from 2006 and the colors look dated. If I purchase a newer DVD will I still have the same map or will it look any different?

Thanks

+1......now thats how you answer someone's questions......no B/S just straight to the point!!

I often wonder about question 1 myself, and it sux that you cant do that. So I usually roll the nav in the assist window and entertainment in the larger window.

Congrats on your new ride BTW

Answer to question 1: I have not seen any option to do that ( You can have both windows with maps)

Answer to question 2: I have the latest 2009.1 DVD, it does not look anything different than my 2005, but i has updated POIs and map details (new roads)
