My Ride: 2004 545i Sport Pak
![Default](https://5series.net/forums/images/icons/icon1.gif)
Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the forum. I've been reading and getting educated for a month or so. Here goes my first post!
I just took delivery of a CPO 545i 2004 3/04 production date with 23K miles and Sports Pack. I bought it via a friend, cycled it thru a dealership so he could get trade-in allowance on his new car, and I could get CPO status. I didn't perform a test drive (we live in different cities). After taking delivery and heading back to Austin, right away I noticed the squeaky door problem (more like a rattle that emits a noise in the low frequency sound range), so of course I started looking for info on this board.
Sorry if this question has been posed before, but do dealerships typically have a problem replacing the door seals? Will any dealership do it? And finally, will my car be covered since it is so old and I am the 2nd owner? It is still under the original 4/50 warranty.
Thanks everyone!
P.S. I've also been wondering if the dealer may have put something on the seals that caused the noise, hence, my friend never mentioned the problem. He is a music buff, so he may never have heard the problem.
