Have you ever had the seals replaced? That "fix" seems to work for many people -- even if it's temporary. Obviously, it's worth getting it done since it's free...

Locked and loaded, I am hitting my dealer up for an appointment NOW. My power windows are messed up, the car sounds like a 3000 year house with wood floors and the clutch sounds like the old house too... I am scared of what will happen next... should I sell my 545 and get an 03 M5???

If you clean or wax the door jambs, you might want to take a look at the following thread...

In addition to changing the seals a later bulletin suggests butting teflon tape (clear) on the sills. This deos seem to work. They creak ion cold mornings and after a car wash, but then it fixes it self.

What kind of window problems are you having? Have you tried resetting it/them by holding the button down for 12 seconds or so?

Yes, at least for the problem I had of the window not closing all the way and the window retracting on it's own like it was possessed! That's all my SA did when I brought the car in for a fix - and off and away I went! Try it and let us know.

So far so good... it did it in the Accessory mode, and it works fine now, nopefully with the ignition fully on it will be fine as well.

Thanks BonBonB
