I am coming up on some maintenance work to be done on my 530i and wanted to get some recommendation on Water Pump brands. I will be going with the metal impellers but wanted to get some feed back on which brands are considered good quality overall.

Thx

I assume this is for an M54.

EMP Stewart, there is no comparison.

I looked for a Stewart pump for my 545i and could never find one.

Then I decided that a water pump is not a high tech item so I went the cheap route with a Beck/Arnley pump and thermostat for $114 total shipped from Rock Auto. I was impressed with the construction and finish of both units (pump from China and thermostat from India).

After all, we buy our computers, flat screen TVs and cellular handsets from China. So we think a cast water pump with a bearing and metal impeller is beyond their abilities?

After installation it is quiet as a church mouse. If anything changes in the miles to come I will write an update.

Thanks for the feed back guys, someone else also recommended the Beck/Arnley pump.
