Hi All & Zag
We don't seem to have that SUE culture here. But we certainly have a KIASU (local dialect for being afraid to loose) culture - Don't tell me Performance Motors want to protect themselves from being sued upside down because of some known life-threatening failures waiting to happen? Or is the new version of CIP so unstable using it while driving might cause something unpleasant to happen?
Zag, if Chris Brown won't do a thing about 12.1, ask him wheather if car magazine editors or the press should be told about it. You will have my word of support, anytime man. And this RECALL thing, maybe the press should be told too!

What if a US owner would sign a letter that waves any responsibility for BMW in an I-Drive involved accident. Maybe that would be a way to get the accept screen off..
But what if you sell the car or anybody else drives in it... I think in a legal way this would not be sufficient enough..

IMHO, its the local agent that screwed things up, rather than getting a Europe/UK version of 1.2, it got instead the US version. If all Singapore i-Drive must have the disclaimer/acceptance clause, we should see it in version 10.x or 11.x. But we don't. I must thank Zag for highlighting this, I still prefer to start at track 1 to having the acceptance clause. Software upgrade can come later.
