Need help removing front and back emblems to replace with new ones

I ran a screw into the center of mine on an old e39 I had and as the screw goes in it pulls the emblem up enough to take them off by hand from there. U may need a spot of touch up paint for this method but it's under the new emblem so u won't see it. The Packing strap idea sounds like it may work also
