Speaking of HIDs these are what I was talking about REAL HIDs with Ballistics and all that "spark" up when you initially turn on the light.

Heres a good color scheme for the Kelvin Rating. So you see the higher it goes the bluer it gets and then goes to purple!

[quote name='Viper786' date='Jan 31 2005, 07:07 PM']quick question... if i do not have xenons in my bmw, can i just get HID bulbs and put them in there with the same wiring? and will i get that sweet blueish color?
If yes, can someone suggest a bulb?
This is for the low beams btw... not the fog lights

BUT Sure you can do it, the safest bulb to go with would be the Osram Sylvania SilverStar H7ST they are ~4000K which will be very close to the BMW Xenons in "WHITE-ness / BLUE-ness" BMW Xenons are ~4200K as stated above somewhere.

The 4th to the last bulb on ^^^ page. You can get them at the local Parts store... I thnk they're about $24 a bulb.
If you want more blue then go ahead and look for a 4700K bulb from PIAA or somthing but I dont know the exact ones to get but as long as they are H7 type then you are ok. Try to keep within the approx Wattage so you wont be drawing too much current on existing wiring. and of course 12 Volt bulb.
The H7ST are 12V 55W so they are same as OEM.
