Need help picking color for new 550i
I have black one, next time I'd go silver especially with the m-kit and big wheels.
Decided I'd buy an E60 when I saw a silver one with 123 wheels on US TV show (boston legal I think?) - nice product placement BMWNA!
(sad i know!)
Cheers

My 545 is jet black, and my previous X5 was titanium silver. You can't beat a car-wash clean black BMW, but I have to say that the BMW silver is one of the better silvers on the market, IMO, and you have to see one in person to tell why. There is a certain depth to it, a confluence of colors that amount to silver. By comparison, to my eyes, the Audi silver looks, well, silver.
I don't think I have ever seen an LCI 550 sport in silver. I think that would look really nice.

Sorry, I know I am in the minority, but I have always thought Silver looks like primer paint. Carbon Black is beautiful. I love how it looks black in some light and dark blue in others. If I was buying a new 550i today, my pics:
1. Deep Sea Blue
2. Carbon Black
3. Alpine White
Silver & grey would always be last on my list.

Lighter colors look cleaner even when dirty, I loved my silver gray, but the carbon blk is very cool...

silver
The alpine white looks gorgeous. Are you saying your car is too much of a hassle to keep clean?
The Space Gray is my number one choice now, with carbon black at a close second, and white is still in the running as well.
Decisions decisions.....

German cars are supposed to be silver. enough said. Green for England, Blue for French, Red for Italy, Silver for Germany. you're going against history if you choose otherwise.
