Well so I am looking for a used 5 series 2004-2006 but honestly I do not have a clue for what to look for in one? I know with certain cars theres things you need to look for. What would it be on the 5 series. I plan to buy the used 5 series and then go to bmw and pay for an extended warrenty which I was told is an option BMW has?

Dude...run a search on this forum, there are dozens of topics about this...

Also..what model are you looking for...the diesels, turbos and V8 all have there specific problems to look out for...

 

Baseline get one with the sports package. The rest just depends on what extra's you want, plus engine size etc.
