I'm wondering if it only works with the new Software version.
The DVD/Package is labeled BMW, just like the last one, and the part number is 65 90 0 398 542...
I'll call and ask.

It would be easier for me to dupe the DVD. My phone line sucks and I get a lot of drop outs. Phone company will not do anything as they claim they only guarantee 9.6.
However I may have Road Runner up and running in a few days. I had been waiting for DSL in the neighborhood but I guess we do not have enough population to warrant any hurry on the part of the phone/providers. I had cable people here today but I have a 450 foot run to the street so it will take them some time to lay in the cable. But I am hopeful by this time next week I am up to SPEED. Then I can upload anything

I'd appreciate any love you guys could spread my way with this. I'm definately going to buy it as soon as I can find someone that will sell it to me. As it is now, I'm out the shipping with Navteq, AND I have to pay to send it back to them for the refund.
What a pain. How hard is it for them to SELL me a darn update? GARMIN ships them very easily for updating the airplanes. When will car manufacturers get a clue?
Thanks in advance,
James

[/quote]My car is an early March 2005 build and it came with the 2005-2 DVD. I guess there is one upside to having to wait an extra 3 weeks for the car to get to the West Coast. They must have distributed the new DVDs to the dealers during that extra transit period.

I'm sooo bummed. Today's my birthday, and I was sooo excited on Friday that my 'present' arrived. Toooo bad it didn't work.
Can anyone that has the DVD please post the part number (It's on the DVD itself).
Thanks,
james
