I suggest you guys start buying BMW parts mail order from Crevier BMW.? They have a parts message board on Roadfly.com and their prices are about 30% off retail.? Just say no to full retail!

All well and good to save money, but... They do not have the DVD, and I want mine now.

If you have a friendly salesman, you can always borrow a 2005-2 DVD for a couple of hours and then return it.

I'm all for discounts, but do we have a part number? The E65 part number (origianlly listed) apparently was E65-specific and was invalid for the 5/6 series.

I get a similar BMWCCA discount thru my dealership and would be happy to order one there ... if we had a part number. I'll ask at my dealership.

BMW had no knowledge of the disk upgrade, and tried to give me the DVD for the 7 series. I also called BMW NA, and they indicated that they had no knowledge of a new DVD so no BMW Part #. The Navteq people were happy to take the order, and very helpful. It was just much easier to bypass BMW...

I'm pretty certain that by going straight to Navteq, I'm not paying the inflated BMW price anyway, so thus I am getting a discount!

What does "Regional Map" mean? Doesn't one disc cover the whole USA?

You have two options, both are one DVD. I do not know why you would only want a portion of the North America, but if you do, they got ya covered.

I got my DVD, and it didn't work! I plugged it into the Nav player, and the new one (2005-2) didn't get recognized. Anyone else tried yet?

I'm wondering if it only works with the new Software version.

The DVD/Package is labeled BMW, just like the last one, and the part number is 65 90 0 398 542...

I'll call and ask.

James
