Q: How do you delete the symbols on the navigation map? Ex: Doing a search for gas stations - you get blue gas pumps wherever the nav system tells you there is a station. How do you make them go away? Again another example: you do a search for a restaurant, now the map is populated with those symbols (knife and fork). I don't want to look at them all the time so wondering if there is a way to make them go away.

 

Pretty simple. With the nav map displayed, move over to the left side with all the nav options. Scroll down and click on the "i" symbol. You'll then get a screen that includes the option to turn on or off the display of info icons on the map.

Got a moment for a new question: When using the nav system with map facing north (as an example) you can toggle to the icons and change them. However, when using the new view I can only see streets and no names. Can't change the toggle like you can when viewing normal. Again, if its just me, go ahead. I'm still learning.

 

I think that you're asking about the new "perspective" (3-D like) view. If so, you're not missing anything. The street names do disappear.

 

My mistake. Yes I was talking about the perpective view. When using this mode, do the street names appear at all?
