In the past I have been able to make back up copies of the nav dvd from my original discs. I have done this for 2003-2, 2004-2 but my 2005-1 bus nav dvd comes up with a read error when using both sonic and nero, it is does not show up in windows explorer either. Have they protected the content of newer discs or is it just because mine is scrated? Disc works fine in the car.

Thanks for the feedback guys... I fear I may have left it too late to make a back up, my original has several scratches. What software are you using to copy?
I have tried sonic and nero, I have changed computer since backing up older nav dvds and cannot remember which package I used on the old machine.

Cracked it...\ used my laptop with Tosh drag&drop software, works fine. Still not sure why nero did not work on the new dell desktop, maybe the dvd writer is not as good asthat on the tosh? Anyway I have a copy to save me from the kids tossing the original out of the drive to play their cds!! Thanks again to those who responded.
