The weight of the spoiler is causing the trunk lid to open partially. Open the trunk liner on the drivers side and move the spring to the next position. There are three notches/slots where the end of the spring can be attached. Very likely, it's currently attached to the least tension. I 'd move it to the middle position and if that's not enough, then go for the last position.

CAUTION: be very careful handling that spring. The strength of that spring is very strong. You will know what I am saying when you release that spring and trying to attach to the latch.

Yah, ETNav is aware of where that spring is. The question is how to manipulate it safely without possibly causing a gigantic gash on your hand(s) while trying to adjust it.

I understand that and where the spring is. I've tried a few times to move it but somebody said they cut their hand doing that. I'm trying to avoid looking like an idiot in front of my superiors and them asking me why I thought it would be a good idea to do this. My question is, is there any special tools or anything to use? Or should I just get a screwdriver and pray I don't slice my arm?

use a wire hanger.....flaten it, double it up, slip it or hook it on and adjust.

545 is that what you did? It seems to me I would need 2 people to perform this safely.

Yes thats how I did it, but Ill tell you it was pretty hard to do but I got it after 3-4 attempts. I put my right hand on the spring and pulled at the same time used my left to pull the hanger that was looped through the hook of the spring, use gloves so you dont hurt your hand pulling the metal hanger or even if you use another method. A person will definitely need help if they were trying to move the spring back to make the trunk open faster.

Just moved the spring back, I feel like a weakling after wrestling with that spring, lol. I only wanted to move it back one but I messed up at first and put it all the way forward. The trunk didn't even want to open then. After finding out it was easier to move the spring when unhooked completely, I tried to put it where I wanted but that didn't work. Somehow, after climbing into the trunk, I managed to put it all the way back on the top. It now pops open just like it used to. This is definitely a two person job with gloves tho, glad its over with.

I also have this same problem so i adjusted the spring to the lightest setting and has made no difference to the way it opens. It still opens way too aggressively. On the other side there is a spring with a damper through the middle. Maybe the damper on mine is shot? I will replace it and see if it makes a difference.
