I have experiencing a few problems with my car. The most annoying problem is the steering noise, it sounds low pitch growling like some kind of resonance sound? It feels on the wheel and seat also. Any hints?

Also I-drive freezes sometimes; I-drive freezes, also radio, parking sensor freezes?

Bad start seems to be caused by a bad starter

I had the same problem with my Idrive. I had the "Car communication Controller" Replaced. It controls Idrive, radio,cd,and so on.

The steering noise may come from wear rings in your steering wheel hub. They can be replaced.

I had an E46 323i that developed a gravelly noise in the steering. Power steering fluid was too low. Topped it up and it went away. Look for leaking fluid. Check the cap of the resevoir. Sometimes the seal falls off and you get a leak around the cap. That's what happened to me.

No issue with the 530d.

Cheers,
