I am on an X3 loaner car for 2 weeks now and I noticed that the X3 has a better sounding bass than my 530i. The loaner only has the regular radio (not a logic 7). I looked under the front seats and it seems the woofers look the same as the 530. I also have the regular sound system in my 530 but I just can't imagine how the X3 sounds better than my 530. Any ideas how to improve or at least make my car have a better sounding audio? ( Adding a woofer/subwoofer inside the trunk is not an option .
By the way, I miss my car a lot. It's been at the dealership for 2 weeks now. The X3 is nice but it's too bumpy for me.

The standard sound system in the US (hi-fi for EU) really sux
Why don't you try replacing the subs under the seats for the earthquake shallow mount subs and adding an amp? Search the forum, there's info about this mod.

Works for me with Business Audio only.

Do you think just changing the subs to the earthquake shallow mounts without adding an amp will work? I am not sure if the existing amp will be able to handle those earthquake subs.
