My instrument cluster is not working after jump started my 2004 bmw 545i

Try disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 1-1.5 hours. This, with any luck, will reset all of the modules, so when you reconnect the negative terminal, all modules will reboot and all will be good.

i did for 30 minutes didnt work should i try again and wait 2 hours

If that doesn't work try disconnecting the instrument cluster for about 30 secs and then plug it in. It is not hard to remove just a few screws. Disconnect it only after you have disconnected the battery.

have you plugged it in to a diagnostics machine/laptop and check all fuses. how was it jump started? and have you checked your battery health

Hello i got a new cluster plugged it in and it worked and it now says passenger restraint malfunction and my idrive controller when i push down on it doesn't work

the restraint malfunction can usually be reset with a diagnostic machine

all this from jump starting? did you clamp the positive lead directly onto your fuse box?

how does this happen...
