In Italy E60 bought in 2004 did not come with a torch.

And never heard of a BMW torch here.

May be Italy is a "sun land", but not at north.

You don't get it in Germany either, but it can be retrofitted easily. I had my dealer install it, and allready used it. Very handy to have sometimes.

Does anyone have a picture of this torch?

Don't think I've ever seen one.

In USA, standard on the MY2005.

Frankly not sure I'll ever use it.. Can I send it to you?

In USA, the flashlight (torch) was standard in every BMW I've owned since 1989.

God bless America...

The big deal about the BMW torch, silly as it looks (and hasn't changed design ever, and looked outdated when it was first produced IMO), is that when it gets returned to it's charging point the batteries charge again - so you're practically guaranteed a torch that works in an emergency.

Maybe the overall design concept hasn't changed but the torch on my '89 M3 is clearly different than the ones in my E39s and my E60. They changed the color of the casing and they changed the power connector (the old light won't fit in the new socket and vice versa.)
