In Italy E60 bought in 2004 did not come with a torch.
And never heard of a BMW torch here.
May be Italy is a "sun land", but not at north.

The big deal about the BMW torch, silly as it looks (and hasn't changed design ever, and looked outdated when it was first produced IMO), is that when it gets returned to it's charging point the batteries charge again - so you're practically guaranteed a torch that works in an emergency.
