Hi guy,

As the title said, my car pop up the error messages (Tyre punture,Low oil pressure, alarm on when all doors are shuted......etc, and i checked all that and nothing went wrong)

That happens about twice a month and it last for nearly a year by now and if i leave the car to claim down for a while(Parked overnight), it returns to normal and everything working perfectly as it should.

So my question is:

Why its happened? problem with the sensors? or the idrive? or the main ECU?

Should i take it back to BMW? (But they have already checked for me when my starter needs replacing 8mths ago, and they say couldn't find any faults!)

So any help will be appreciated folks!

Keith

I got the same problems with my now sold E60 530i. And I've seen it once in E64 650i. Not sure if it will help but...

E60 530i. - old Progman, battery problems. One very cold morning, I've started the car and countless errors come up (Active Steering, airbags, engine fault, transmission fault, etc). It proved to be the battery.

E60 530i - accelerated the car badly in snow. Don't jump at me... Again. Cruise control fault, engine fault, etc. Everything went away after shuting down the car for more than 15 minutes.

E64 650i - dealer in Wien, Austria wants to check my rear axle and tires. So up on the ramp, and they accelerate the car not moving. All kind of strange errors came on the iDrive. They just did a reset and the errors went away.

You may be right! It might be the battery problem cos i had the starter replaced at around 15000KM due to the starter failure and the battery needs to replace too. HK BMW says that was strange the starter broke down at this mileage so they give me a free parts and labours but i have to pay for the battery....it costed me 1200HKD (around 70pounds).....until now....i have no idea why it happened and don't know what i can do with that.

I am thinking upgrading the idrive to see is there any improve......hope can sort it out this time!!
