BTW where did you end up mounting the Velocity?

To get better pics of your car:

-take pics at dusk
-use a background that will not distract the eye from the car; try to find a background that will lead the eye to and around the curves of the car
-take more and more and more and more and more pics - the more you practice, the more you learn
-practice taking pics of isolated details of the car and then, when you're taking pics of the whole car, try to catch all those details in perfect lighting/shadow

I'm definitely far from a professional photographer, so I won't tell you that these pointers are 100% correct, but they've helped me out a bit.

Here's what 20 seconds in Photoshop CS3 does for three of those images. I think they become more like HDR images and are a bit more dynamic. Obviously the more time you spend the more interesting they'd get.
