OK,
So sat night i was drivin and the yellow brake light came on as well as this tringle in a circle light on the instrument panel.
I took my car to the dealer this past tuesda thinking it would be rweady later that day. Now the dealer si sayign he will try to have it ready for Friday.

He said somethign about my car failing the program inspection or soemthing like that and another reprogramming takes 6 hours.

I hope they dont install a new version which si gonna mess soemthign that wasntmessed up before. My phonebook was workign fine via bluetooth i hope it wont be messed up.

Another problem i had was the dealer noticed that the corner of where the fron bumber meets the fender near the front wheel was protuding a bit (not dented or anythign) it looks like whatever clips the bumber into the body broke or soemthing.

Automaticly the dealer suggests i get a new bumber. ther are no scratches on the bumber its 2 months old why should i get a new one.

Cant the clip or whatever it is just be replaced?

How can i take off my bumber myself and see it for myself?

Could be an SZL sensor fault, as far as the bumper.. easy as a couple of clips can realign that section

They WILL update software to current version 100%.
Changing bumper because of hte loose or missing clip is unheard of - your dealer is trying to milk BMW NA for some warranty $$.

anyone have a DIY (preferably with pics) of how to take off the front bumper on my 2006 525I.
I barely have the car for three months.

How can i tell what version i have installed on the car?

You can't tell the version on your own check the invoice after repairs or ask your dealer after they connect it to the pc
