I just picked up my car this afternoon.? I really like the body-colored reflector inserts - I might actually leave them in.
The R6 engine is awesome.? The torque is really strong in any gear - I was accelerating very strongly in 5th gear on the highway at low RPMs and around town at lower speeds.? I haven't taken the engine above 4K RPM, but even so it's great.
I have taken a few pictures - I put them here:? http://mail.definitive.org/~ronl
Thanks! I feel the same way about the standard bumper. I chose the 6 speed manual because I like rowing my own gears - I want my car to be more sporting than luxury.
Believe it or not, with the right options, a manual 5 series in the US can actually be worth a bit more to the right buyer.

Appreciate your 1st impressions of the *new* 3.0L engine. I'm still on the fence with which engine to order.

This morning was the first time I'd driven the car since I picked it up last Monday. The wait was killing me - I couldn't make an appointment to get the 3M Paint Protection Film installed until today. Man, that thing is a beast on the highway and I wasn't even hitting 4K RPM. Loving every minute of it!
