[quote name='UUronL' date='Apr 19 2005, 02:14 AM']I just picked up my car this afternoon.? I really like the body-colored reflector inserts - I might actually leave them in.

The R6 engine is awesome.? The torque is really strong in any gear - I was accelerating very strongly in 5th gear on the highway at low RPMs and around town at lower speeds.? I haven't taken the engine above 4K RPM, but even so it's great.

I have taken a few pictures - I put them here:? http://mail.definitive.org/~ronl

That "Ron530i2" profile looks fantastic, especially the rear bumper............makes you realise why some ppl opt not to change to the M-Sport bumper when putting on the M-Aerodynamic Kit as an aftermarket addition.

Thanks! I feel the same way about the standard bumper. I chose the 6 speed manual because I like rowing my own gears - I want my car to be more sporting than luxury.

Are you not concerned about the effect of residuals ?

Believe it or not, with the right options, a manual 5 series in the US can actually be worth a bit more to the right buyer.

Congrats on the new family addition, UUronl!
Appreciate your 1st impressions of the *new* 3.0L engine. I'm still on the fence with which engine to order.
Nice to hear you're happy with the power. Oh, and nice pics!

Cheers!

This morning was the first time I'd driven the car since I picked it up last Monday. The wait was killing me - I couldn't make an appointment to get the 3M Paint Protection Film installed until today. Man, that thing is a beast on the highway and I wasn't even hitting 4K RPM. Loving every minute of it!
