MP3 works in 320i loaner

My car is in for service and to see if they can get MP3 to work.
The loaner is a 320i with professional radio but no nav or I drive.
On inserting an MP3 CD, the display shows CD player and then after a few seconds changes to MP3 player and plays the CD OK.
At least now I know that my recordings off the PC are OK to test when I get my car back.
