Is MP3 play available with CIP v. 18?

My Ride: 2005 530i jet black, NAV, premium, automatic, xenon
I have MY 05 with NAV, and single CD player. I think I have v. 16 software. I cannot play MP3s in the cd player. I am going in for service and want to know if upgrading to v. 18 will result in MP3 capability??

My Ride: 2006 525i, Titanium, Automatic, Sportsuspension, Nav, Satellite, HUD, Phone Kit, 19" wheels 245 front 275 rear.
I just was informed from my dealer the next update in October will include mp3 as well as "High Definition Radio" I never even heard of high def radio... <_<

The MP3 software update will come out in October or November. But that BS they are telling us for a year now...
