From my experiance, it does keep the directory names (in alphabetical order) until the directory which contains the mumber 239 track of the whole disk (countering started from the first directory). That directory is missing the remaining tracks and the remaining directories are hidden.
Also for the long file names, on mine, I count 19 letters appearing on the I-drive Mp3 list, plus next line down with id3 tags of the playing track (if any).

Just for info.
Regards.

Does this mean that if you had 12 folders each with 19 mp3's in that you would first see the 12 folders and then be able to navigate into each folder to play the files.
also any ideas why you see the long file names and ID3 tags when we only see truncated filenames

have you a picture so we can see what it looks like?

1) Yes, right!
2) Perhaps the difference is the Business navi-DVD drive.

I'll post pictures later.

Yes, as of September production, US vehicles without Nav will be able to play MP3 CDs in the single CD slot. (As discussed elsewhere, pre-September production US vehicles without Nav may be able to play MP3 CDs with a software update.)

We're wondering about early build MY2004 w/o Nav in US. Is software update going to help? Anyone?

Thanks
