Had my e60 530d now for one month and done 4,000 miles. Its had new starter, new airbag module, new module for adaptive headlights, new steering column, going in on two weeks for pdc sensor and wiring loom for pdc.
All the above done under warranty thank goodness.
I reckon all of the above would have cost well over ?1500.
BEWARE ANYONE BUYING THIS CAR THAT IS NOT STILL UNDER WARRANTY. IT IS JUST ONE BIG COMPUTER AND IT HAS MORE MODULES THAN THE SPACE SHUTTLE.

I've had like a ton of expensive parts replaced as well: TCU, M-Ask to name a couple. Also other parts like door seals and cupholders replaced several times. The cross charge for this from the local dealerships to BMW NA and then BMW AG must be huge. No wonder a big revenue item for the dealerships is warranty related claims.

My Ride: Expected delivery on 15 Jan 2007 525I Olivian Green, Beige Interior, PP, CWP, PDC, SP, Rear shades, heated rear seats, Ipod fitted, Nav, Oem Rims 166, Xenon Lights, Wood grain package, illuminated door sills
Well my question would be to you is did your dealer do a inspection of the vehicle and next would be what kind dealer did you buy it from. If it was not a certified BMW dealer then they may not know the ins and outs of the car to inspect it. As long as it under warranty then just keep going back and also make sure your warranty doesnt run out.
