With the air finally drying up and temperatures coming down, I have been using the tilt up position on the moonroof a lot. I noticed that about 5 minutes after the roof closes, there is usually a loud pop that comes from somewhere behind me. At first I thought i had just run over a small rock that slammed into my fender, but it's happening all too frequently to be coincidental.

anyone with ideas on what it means or how to resolve?

had the same problem your dealer would be able to fix it for you , and if you car is still under warranty you don't have to pay for anything just bring it to your dealer

I had the same problem, brought it to the dealership and they had to file down the front edge of the water drain. Sometimes the rear edge of the sunroof glass collides with the front edge of the water drain, hence the loud popping noise.
