mirrors auto adjusting

I've read the e60's automatically tilt the wing mirrors down a bit when you put the car into reverse. is this only for auto's? Because I have tried it on mine and they don't move. its a 2004 530d SE.I know about the switch left to right etc still doesn't work,maybe its only lci models? can some one confirm?

Mine is pre-lci 07, it works as described.

mines a 2004 Auto. for the mirror to drop the mirror switch needs to be on the right... I think. Not too sure whether its the case for manual gearbox's though.

this feature only happens if you have memory seats.
