Whatever you go for, don't ever never buy from town and country. stay away that dealship like a bad rash.
I can see what the salesman was trying to say, but come on, he isn't doing a customer any favours by 'allowing' a customer to buy a $70,000 CAD car.
I'm dealing with BMW Toronto since it is closer to where I will be working.

You're going to have to decide for yourself, which do you like better, the tech toys or the looks? Personally, I would get all the gizmos, then later on order the M-Tech kit & some 166 rims. Oh wait.... that is what I'm doing

Honestly, the 530i doesnt look at all as good or stand out as much without the M package. If I could buy only one thing for the car it would be the M package it just makes the car look that much better. Hey what school did you graduate from and what program? Oh by the way I'm from Toronto as well.

I got the M-Sport package. Compared to the previous E60 I had it's a totally different car and driving feeling. I do not regret any single cent spent to get it. In Italy is costs abt, 5000 EUR.

My Ride: 535d Sport, carbon black, media pack, visibility pack, grey leather, heated seats, sun protection glass, voice control, Eibach ProKit, 19" 166 style wheels, e-maps ECU remap to 325hp and 640NM, top speed limiter removed

In europe the M-sport pack also consist of what the canadians get, apart from the 19" wheels. Europe M-sports get the 135 18"wheels with it.
But everything elselike sports seats, steering wheel, M-sport suspension etc. is all in the pack.
Mine has visibility (xenon+hl wash+ adaptive cornering light) and media (Prof Nav, cd changer, bluetooth and now voice recognition) pack in addition, plus leather, heated seats, sun protection glass.
(plus now the 19" wheels and Eibach springs and the remap and delimiter coming up)
I don't need more, really.
Depending on how long you intend to keep the car, the options might be the more viable solution, as they relate to using the car.

I am only leasing the car for 3 years since I will likely return to graduate school at that time and change cars. Regardless, I get bored easily, so I wouldn't keep it much longer. Jump to the next generation at that time (hopefully if everything works out).

Yeah, my friend has had a bad experience there. In the end he ended up buying an Audi when the salesman said, "Come on, its a BMW. BMW drivers don't bargain on prices".
As to the m-kit - my starting point has been - make sure you get the best ENGINE you can afford.
Often for me that has meant forgetting about optional extras cause I've spent the money upgrading to the next engine size.
If you are happy with a 530i (and why wouldn't you be) and you have a bit of spare cash left - then the choice is between a sporting look with improved dynamics OR some comfort / gadgets.
I'd get the M-sport , some gloves and tomtom satnav.

I would definitely go with the M-Sport package! Makes a really odd looky car actually work and look great! ![Wink](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/wink.gif)
I would get the M-Sport package and Nav Proffesional, you don't need any more than that, and I can't believe the payments would be hardly any more if you added Nav, in the UK it adds about ?22 a month to add the Media package to a 3 year lease, mainly because it is expected when you come to sell it on.
You are right that itis harder to see the M Package on a black car, but you can see it enough!![Wink](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/wink.gif)
