$3269 done at the VPC is too high. $5200 after port is a pure rip off.
As I said above, $2461 is the VPC invoice price. Have to order it before the car gets there, so act fast or pay more in aftermarket.

This is the reply from the dealer when I asked for the kit at invoice price. We al lknow it's all BS but that the dealer for you. I guess after market installation with a third party is the route for me.

" Im sorry to say but we dont get a break on the body kit that installed at
the port. BMW reapes the benefits on that one."

Hello,

I am new to this forum and this is my first post.
I am interested in getting an M Aero kit for my new 530i (Awaiting transport). What is the most common way of getting it installed? By dealer or DIY? Is this something that normally installed before taking delivery or it an upgrade that the dealer can perform after.
I asked the dealer for quote and was hoping that they can install for me but they are not very responsive.
And I am not sure if I trust myself with a brand new car that I do not know very well.
I live in northern california.
Thanks!
I had mine assembled at the NJ port. The screwed the paint job up so bad my BMW dealer (who has one of the few BMW authorized paint shops) called the district rep in to look at it. It looked like they painted it and left it out in a dust storm. The clear coat had tons of crap in in, and I still have a run in the paint in the front.
I recommend you buy the M kit and take it to a auth BMW paint shop or a real good body shop.

Don't have the NJ port do it.

Good Luck. If you have any hesitations about going with a third party. Just post which one you're thinking of and I'm sure another member has had experience with them and can offer feedback. I can offer feedback on RJ's for my m tech rear bumper, CarLab for my ACS sides and front lip, and Haws Import Autobody on my front bumper prior to the ACS front lip. All did exceptional work.
