Best place is to either order it along with the car or get it from the dealer... they'll be the cheapest...

Another place that I know if is Bekkers...

http://www.bekkers.com/Merchant2/merchant....ry_Code=E60aero

They were the FIRST to carry it. before the dealers... but they're expensive. Average price at the dealers is around $1300 primed. You cant order it painted from the factory here in the states.

Even when you order it WITH the car it gets painted and installed at the VDC and you dont get to keep your old parts.

I was quoted closer to $3500; is your price invoice?

Agreed - I'm paying $3200 for M-Aero Kit + the rear-lid spolier. Invoice on my combo is ~$2850.

I paid invoice too. I negotiated the price of my car without the aero kit first, then I demanded the aero kit at their cost since they did not have to do anything and they still made the same profit they would have anyway. Plus, when I ordered my car back in October '05, my dealer did not even know what the aero kit was until I taught them what is was and how to get it installed at the VPC, all thanks to this awesome forum. In addition, it did not hurt that my company has purchased about 10 or 12 bimmers from this dealer over the years with more to come. As the kit becomes more popular, it may be harder to make that kind of deal.

I ordered a new 550 today with M-aero kit. my dealer tells me that he doesn't enter the Aero kit on the order YET! he has to wait for a VIN # or something, becuase it is a VPC thing? is this normal? what process have others had to go through to get the Aero done at the VPC?

That is correct. They have to place the order 5 days or something like that before the car gets to the VPC. Be sure you stay on them about that or it may slip through the cracks. About the same time I got my car someone else, may have been tachyon, had his car arrive without the kit.

Because of his experience, I stayed on my sales rep as my car arrived and made her call the VPC to confirm the order was received.
