I wanted a little more aggressive look so I was thinking of lowering my 550 msport and making the wheel a little more flush with the front and rear fenders this spring.
I was going with HR springs to lower it, should i look into new shocks as well? Ive asked around and there's mixed opinions, some say the oems will hold up well after the change but others say they will deteriorate faster. Im thinking the later may happen.
as for spacers I see most go with 18mm rear and 8 front, I find that the front is pretty close to the fender as is however wanted to see if anyone on here has tried this
For those that have tried this mod on their 550 or other e60 could you please chime in? Was there a noticeable change in performance (handle and cornering wise)? going from msport/sport to modified
Thanks in advance!

I am also in you shoes. After doing some research and reading I'll go with KW variant 2 coilivers. You can adjust the hights. There are some other questions that makes me still wander like what happens to the suspension components, mostly to the wheel bearings after the height and bigger rim size change. Do they deteriorate faster? To get wheels flush to the fender I think you need to roll the fenders also. That is my project for coming spring.

spcers will in theory stress the wheel bearing a little more but its nothing that i would worry about to much.. it isnt to difficult of a fix if one day it needs a new wheel bearing anyways.
on that note, measure for spacers. if you go to turner motor sports page it has a good writeup on a proper way to measure to spacers. i dont have any insight on your suspension question, i went straight to coil overs..
