That would be interesting. Turning off your car to find that none of the door and windows will open!

I am completely locked out of my car and I have the keys in my hand! Yes, that's right, my keys are in my hands and I can't get in. The unlock button does nothing, I insert the key to unlock and nothing! WTF! BMW road side assistant is on it's way. Good thing I am at home.
This is probablly associated with my alarm glitch/electrical problems. I am beginning to hate this car.

Will you key open the trunk? If so, disconnect the battery and reconnect it. Maybe that will reset something. Its a shot in the dark.

BTW, towing a rear wheel drive from the front is not a good idea, I guess.
I had this happen to me once when my battery completely died. I was told that you have to hold the door handle up and turn the key all the way as far as it will go. Holding the door handle up appears to "bypass" the automatic locking system and enable manual unlock.
Once you do this, then you can open the bonnet and jump the car from another source.

You would think that's the case but even the key doesn't work in the trunk. Access denied.
I think I tried that yesterday but not on purpose. I give it a try again when I get home.

UPDATE:
Another tow truck came yesterday and this guys was fabulous. He was use to dealing with exotic cars and he took his time easing the car out of my garage.
Something weird did happen. He was able to open the trunk with my key with no problems. I went home and tried the methods described in the previous post and I also tried the trunk again. It was quite embarassing for me when he poped open the trunk.
