Cars in the UK have them too. I was asked by a friend recently why I have orange forward facing sidelights (the eyebrows) as apparently the UK vehicle legislation says that you can only have white forward facing lights. (This is news to me - I guess the indicators aren't classed as lights as they are not lit constantly).

We have them in the US--the angel eyes--as I understand things. It is a (cool) design feature meant to frighten those in front of you at night--like in "fear this."

The Orange LED eyebrows are cool!!! One of the reasons for getting an E60! Its just a real distinctive look. I wonder what the next 5 Series facelift or next all new model will bring? E39 bought us the angel eyes, E60 bought use the angel eyes plus orange eyebrows. What's next? LED front headlights? Audi seem to be using this technology on their new concept cars a lot, haven't seen BMW do that yet.
Have noticed recently that the new Citreon's (C4 I think???) have a similar white eyebrow look to them. Guess its another example of other manufacturers copying BMWs again.
