I thought the system will tell you which tire is leaking or low tire pressure (2007 vehicles only) even though you do not have RFTs. I believe the 2006 or older vehicle only give you the warning and not the particular tire.

You are right, new 07s 5er gets the same system as the 750. Each tire is individually monitored.
DSC, DST and the x-drive system does so!
Still waiting for less heavy and softer RF tyres.
Or a chassi that can live with those tyres...
Will drive my two E60s old Dunlop RF's to slicks.

I am on the same boat. I bought replica 19's. I think the sensor should fit a replica wheel (if it is indeed a true replica) Does anyone have the part number for these transmitters?

I had TPM on my E46; this used a per wheel pressure sender which mounted around the base of the valve inside the tyre.
I changed the wheels, just moved the senders over - they had to be removed and refitted when the tyres were changed anyway.
Currently running a late April '06 build 535d; had the dealer change the tyres during the PDI to non-runflats - TPM works fine ( although I wasn't awre BMW had gone back to the per wheen sender rather than measuring the wheel speeds )
