New screen graphics, more logical gui but more importantly -> is it just subjective or is the transmission also updated? Ride feels much better! Less lags on kick-downs, smoother upshifts and staying in the right revs. Am I crazy or is it true?

I think there may have been a transmission update. My car went in for a "vehicle check" a couple of weeks ago, and one of my complaints at the time was a ponderous transmission. They told me they had updated Progman, and there's a noticeable change to the transmission (mine's just the normal auto with steptronic) - kick-down is noticeably quicker and smoother than it was before.

Well all I can say is that my dealer told me that the update included new programming for the transmission and I can confirm that when I jumped into the car the gear changes were different. I am not sure if the gears felt different because of the new SW or just because it was reset.

I had my TPM replaced last week and had the CIP update done at that time. Took my car for a road trip to Cleveland the next day (total of about 1,400 miles round trip) for an extended Memorial Day weekend. Not sure I felt much difference in the transmission, but I averaged 25.2 mpg for the trip (highway driving only) which is a little more than 1 mpg more than I have averaged on other trips. I have a pretty heavy foot and certainly wasn't going the speed limit.

Another 1000Km on and the car feels much lighter - I'd suggest doing it if you have the chance! Oh well the consumption got a little up but it can well be just heavier foot who knows
