The Xenon headlamp turned red and blew out.

Is this something I could replace myself?

Yes but it takes less than 5 mins to do the whole job.

The Xenon's lifetime is not measured in KM / Miles but, as the word time says, in hours (+/- 2000).
Ignitions (+/- 3000) have also an influence.
KM / Miles may be a reference.

I got the bulb out!! wow

its E1 03W DOT D2S 35W XENARC 66040.

I guess this would not be available at like a Pepboys or autozone.?. Only buy at BMW center?

It's a standard D2S bulb
