Go to http://www.bmw-z1.com/VIN/VINdecode-e.cgi and enter the last 7digits of your VIN. It will give you the production date (month) of your car.

Hope it helps.

I just found that my E60 (MY2006) purchased in November 2006 was assembled in October 2004.
How do you guys feel if it were you?

Should I pursue a lawsuit to BMW Thailand or its dealer?

Thanks,
Visarn.k

Bought mine in March 2005 and got an April 2004 car.

But it was 'pre-registered' and 15.3% below list price.

Still wish I had found this forum before|I bought it so knowing about build dates. Might have screwed a few more ???'s off the price.

That site is not reliable. It lists my 10-06 production date 550i as an 02-05 production date 520dx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are correct, that site is a joke. My just produced 2/2007 530xit was said to be a 2003 530i. I would not use that site for anything.

Best of luck

Guys,
Read the disclamer on the site
*** Data is compatible with BMW ETK as of 06/2006

Therefore it wouldn't decode the VIN correctly for data that do not exist in its database.
